Kiwenda, Uganda

I need to tell you about what happened last night before I forget some of the details. Was sharing on the 2nd day in a small village church about the Holy Spirit, where not one person was filled with the Holy Spirit.
I started praying for the people, with deliverencs and the present of the spirit but no one was being filled, finally after about 30 mintues, some 10 people got filled. There was singing and praying as I went to pray for a young girl in a white dress, as I was praying she was clinging to my arms as she was falling in the presence of the Lord. She was repeating the name of Jesus in a solf sweet voice when a Glory cloud filled the church of 38 people, suddently every thing changed, drummers stopped beating, singers stopped singing and all those praying stopped and there was complete silence. I had difficultly standing and walking, it was just amazing. I walked to the back of the church where a man was praying in the spirit, the women where praying in luganda and when I touched them they began praying in tounges.
I will never forget what God had done last night, never forget. I am going back there this morning & also for sharing again in the evening. Oh how I want to hear what the people have to say about last night.
Sorry but I have not but one picture, so will try to take one today.

God's work continues

Pastor Julius has come to meet with me today after trying to reach me for some time. He said that he heard me speak Sept., Oct.,2008 and it had changed his life because of the words of God that I spoke about forgiveness. My translator had done me wrong but the few words that I spoke were anointed. I have since than removed myself from that church and pastor.
He has requested that I come and teach to three churches for two days each and I will do just that. What I liked about him is that his heart was so changed that he himself has been going about preaching on forgiveness to the broken hearted people in the villages.
His spirit was broken many times as he was sharing about what God was doing in his life by the Holy Spirit. I received many words of wisdom from him, and he wants me to travel with him into the other African nations with him. I would love to do just that because he has such a humble heart, but would need to have the support of others before that can happen because of the cost involed.
I had ministered to some churches in Luwero and now they had invited me to come to the city center where there will be three churches that will come together for a one day conference. He had told me that after I had shared in his church that many people had gotten set free and are now so committed to the work of the Lord in his church.
Looks like I am going to be real busy because I have 56 days before I return home and will be doing 31 days of ministry with more request coming, but that is why I am here in Uganda.

City Center High school, Kampala

After sharing on Monday to 16 pastors, I was asked to share a word to 200 high school students on Tuesday and what a time it was. I was given 50 minutes to speak to them, in Africa it is not so much about the time as it is getting across the purpose of the meeting.
I spoke on forgiveness and quoted it from the word of God. To me forgiveness is the greater part of loving one another. It also brings us the greatest peace & Joy that comes from the Lord.
After sharing the truth from the bible and my time was up, two pastors were so convicted that they shared about their conviction to the students and asked me to come up and lead all in a prayer of forgiving those that had sinned against them. It looked as though there was at least 80 that where standing and praying together to receive forgiveness from the Lord for their unforgiving hearts and asking the Lord to forgive those that had sinned against them. It was a great time and I will be glad to hear their testimonies next Tuesday when I return to teach them about the gift of the Holy spirit.

Deliverence

I need to tell you about this deliverance. First, let me tell you that I had never had done any deliverance before I came to Africa and never even really wanted too, but it is all part of serving in the Kingdom of God.
Ten days ago I was preaching in a village church, where there were many witch doctor shrine's that we walked by to reach the church. Well, after preaching I always pray for those that want prayer, and one women & two young girls had demons and we were unable to set them free at that time.
The Holy Spirit told me that I needed to come back later and get them free in the name of Jesus. Thursday was that day, and the lady got set free first, but the two young girls had lived with their aunt who had a shine and the girls had many demons since 12 years old.
As I laid my hands on the girls the demons manifested & they now controlled the girls and headed to the floor and flopped like a fish out of water. Now I had taken two other pastors with me and we started our 2 hours and 45 min. of deliverance. They had so many demons in them and they did not want to leave at all. They said after the girls became born again, that they were demons of death and where given permission to be there. They complained for a long time, but started to leave one at a time, so we sat down while they were leaving, the last of them were whining & crying as they were leaving but they were leaving. I will tell you when I see you how I know that they were leaving.
We left the girls in the care of their pastor and five other adults, and as we were getting in our car to return home, there were demons screaming as they were leaving.
I called their pastor the next day and she said that the girls are now in their right mind, thanks to the name of Jesus.
One night there was 12 people that manifested with demons, and I was thankful that there was other pastors to help me.
Sorry, no pictures for this, but will share much when I return to visit you.

Luwello area in Uganda

Beautiful path walking to the church in Luwello. It was such a wonderful area with good black soil insted of red clay. The walk was good to the church, with out a roof, so moved inside because of the rain. This lady was so powerful with the demons that they tied her legs so we could do the deliverance, which was done by the most powerful name of Jesus. She was set free and filled with the Holy spirit and was so very happy and thankful the next day, full of the joy of the LORD. She was only one of many that got set free of the demons. I love doing the work of the LORD.

I like this photo, it looks like the Glory of God pushing back the darkness while I was preaching the word and there was many deliverances in this mud church. I just love doing ministering in the villages in Uganda.
Praying for a woman inside the mud church, did some deliverance for her earlier in the day. Those are her children that you see in the picture with her. It's a dirt floor with matts laided down for the small children.
This was the first mud church that I was ever in. It looks very small, but will hold at least 100 people.

Sorry that it has taken so long to write in my blog, but the net is not very acessable where I now live. Okay, the other reason is that I have been busy & and maybe having other things that I love doing more, like resting.
Wow!!!!, the Holy Spirit has really been powerfull during my meetings. It is the same where ever I go teaching on the Holy Spirit and about forgiveness. Let me send some pictures. Doing some deliverance in this small church. I will send this with one picture only, because I have lost a good internet connection. I go to a differant church in a differant town every week, for three days of preaching and it is just great what the Holy Spirit is doing.

Masaka revival & conference

First day at Masaka was amazing, with almost 40 present to here the teaching of the Lord, about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, of fire & power. It was around 5 pm when I went to lay my hands on them to be filled, with the power of the Holy spirit, and as I did there where around 20 that received. My friend Dale said, it was like in the book of Acts.
Oh, thank you Jesus!
Now there is African time - American time & the Lord's time and when I preach and pray for the people, I am always on the Lord's timing. I don't stop until Jesus and I are done praying for everyone, amen.
The church and the crusade were in the country, so there where not so many present for the crusade, but there were about 30 children and some adults the received salvation. Picture with me behind the children, are some of those that received salvation. Picture with small girl, had so much pain in her legs and arms from some kind of blood problem and she could not stand very long, so I held her while praying for her.

Just sharing

The Lord has really been washing and cleansing me lately and I thank Him for it. I will have to say that when I see the love of Jesus, changing people lives, by the spirit of God the Father, it brings tears of joy into me. When ministering & praying for people lately, I often ask for Jesus to talk to them...Well...right after that, many begin crying...after some time, I ask-what is happening?...they said that they heard Jesus talk to them. Now, Isn't our Lord good? Even now, Joy of tears are within me, for I know that it is because of the love of Jesus that is within me.
The picture is where the helping pastor and his nice will live when finished. He will leave where he is now living so he can be close to the people in this area. When it rains they put mud on the sticks that you see here. When they get some money they will build a brick house next to pastor Simon's house. Brick house is pastor Simon's house...both are beside the church and on one acre of land that was given to pastor Simon, by his father. There is no electricty or water in this area.

Sunday--July 5th

Another great day as I again was preaching more on the Holy spirit.
This pastor rides his bicycles about 10 miles to help in this new church and he brought his 19 year old niece and her child that he cares for, on Sunday morning. She and five of her family members were following a man that they called god and when she would hear the word of God preached, evil spirits would tell her the the preacher was lying to her. I layed my hands are her and Jesus told her to listen to me because I was telling her the truth. She got baptized with the Holy spirit, was saved and set free from the lies of the devil. "Praise the Lord" She was so happy and full of joy!...after hearing the voice of Jesus.
Many others where blessed as well as myself. There were many deliverance's that had taken place, for the power of God was present in this place. The testimonies were so great, so very great!

July fouth/Pastor Simon's church

July 4th & 5th were the most amazing days yet here in Uganda. This is at a new church of about five weeks and at times there where up to 25 present when I was teaching on the power of the Holy spirit. After sharing for about one hour I started sharing about what have happened in Feburary at another church, as I stepped forward and layed my hands on a lady in the front row, as to explain what had happened in that other church...well, she was filled with the power of the Holy spirit & begin to speak in other tongues...pastor Simon and myself, now begin to pray for the 15 adults and 6 children and many were baptized in the power of the Holy spirit.
Francis, is just 11 years and the grandson of the lady in the front row (in pictue)...well, the power of the Holy spirit fell on him so strong that when i layed hands on this boy, I had to pick him up and lay him on a wooden bench. I went to pray for others but when Francis had gotten up, the Lord said to me...take his hands and lay them on others...with his eyes closed, I led him to lay his hands on others. The power of the Holy spirit was great on this boy, that all he touched were filled and had fallen under the power of God.

House is found!

Hey everyone, am so sorry that this writing has taken so long. Had power cord problems, then lap top viris, but up and running again.
Wow, I have been busy teaching/sharing four days a week for the month of June. It's been very good and many broken hearts are getting healing from the Lord. I now have got the next 5 weeks all planned out with 3-4 days, of conferences/crusades in different towns/villages. I also have 3 towns that want me to speak to all of there pastor's. That one will take much prayer and hearing from the Holy spirit.
I should move into my house next week, as they have been getting everything ready for me. My land lord is allowing me to use all of the funiture in the house at no charge, which is a great blessing. This 3 bedroom house is almost what I have been looking for, with only a cost of 400,000/s = about-$195.00 per month. "Great deal"
Before I came back to Uganda a couple of years ago, I have a dream about going to a different town to minister every week while here in Uganda. Now that Dream has come about.

Bethel church

Okay, it was so good to have two women helping me to minister Thursday afternoon to some women. I am hoping to have at lease two every time now, what a relieve.
I shared again Wednesday night about relationships to 40 people, it seemed to go good, but the "prayer time". I am not sure how to put this in writing, but will do my best.
I kept praying the Love of Jesus, over them, over and over because they weren't able to forgive those that had hurt them. For these three ladies i invited Jesus to come and speak to them. This is where every thing changes, because all three begin crying after that. I asked them what had happen and they said that they heard Jesus talk to them. Oh, "PRAISE JESUS" for He is good, so good.
I am now in Mityana, getting ready for my sharing tomorrow. My hotel room has cost me 16000/sh ($7.44), it is just okay.

Busy time ahead.

Well folks, still no house found, but am still looking and i am not really worried at all.
Earlier this week, Pastor Prossy, asked me to speak to the women in her church--i said are you sure?--she said do not fear it--are you really sure?--you can do it. So i spoke to about 25 women in her church on Wednesday evening. Oh Lord help us all, is what i was thinking, but it went real good and now they want me to come next week as well.
I am preaching at Eden Revival church, this Sunday, here in Nansana. I have been twice already at this church and as always i enjoy it very much there.
Saturday, 20th i have been asked to be a guest speaker at an annual, Schools Christian Ministry Conference in Mityana, with upwards to 3000 present. Now i feel--oh boy--i am not sure yet about this one yet, i will need all your prayers as always. I want a fresh word from the Lord, for those 12 to 26 year old's here in Uganda. Then on Sunday, i will be preaching in the Good hope Deliverance church in Mityana, the same church that i had done a conference at, in Feb., before i came back to America.
It is good to know that i am "fullfilling the purpose GOD" in my life here in Africa.

Last night

It was good to share in Nansana Eden Revival church where i preached almost two years ago. Had a great message...light kept going out...good thing i brought a new light for times like this. The pastor had invited six more pastor friends, so to introduce them to me. Relationships are very important here in Uganda and that's how i get invited to other church's for sharing the word.
Pastor Robert was telling me about going to a village with a crusade where there is a witchdoctor that has 43 people living within his compound for training & control....three of those witch doctor's heard the truth at the crusade and are now followers of "Jesus Christ our Lord". I will try to get a picture from the pastor with them & their tools and show it to you. They have send a pastor in that region and have now started a church there.
Oh, i love being part of the Kingdom of God here in Uganda.

Back home in Uganda.

Yes, i have been in Uganda for more than a week now and for some reason it seems like i have been here before. I have spoke one night at a crusade, many saved, one very excided man told me 4 days later that his back was healed after prayer. Five came forward to receive salvation but then i layed my hand a drunk man for payer-he fell to his knees-everyone rushed forward for prayer, (everyone). Hard to keep track of who came up for salvation after that.
Yes i am keeping some what busy. Taught Tuesday night Bible study, yes i can speak for 90 minutes and more. I could of spoke a lot longer but wanted to pray for the people.
Oh boy! I really love Africa.
I'm still looking for a house, hope to find one soon, tired of this hotel.
Sorry, no new pictures yet.

Ok, here it is, just for three months. 541-974-6824

Here in America

Yes, i have just returned to America for a three month visit with my family & friends. I had a very good return flight, as i read a book and had some good sleep as well. The plane even arrived in Portland 55 minutes early, just for me, haha.
I'm staying a few night's with my daughter Julie & her husband Dean for a few days before i go see my sister Linda in Sisters Oregon for a couple of days.
I have gotten 12 hours of sleep already and i believe that i will head to Albany for church this morning. It is a little colder this morning than what i am used to waking up to while in Uganda, but i have been here before so i will be wearing a t-shirt for the first time in six months, if i could only remember where i have put them.
Church this morning is going to be quite different then what i have been used too in these last six months, i wonder how i will adjust to it.
Well that is enough of just words, but now you have them too. Have a good day and be blessed by our all mighty God and His son Jesus!

Great friends

Had a great visiting day today at my home in Entebbe, and a fun day it was. First, my friends Terah & Christine where here in the morning and stayed all day and i always enjoy them. Christine makes the best meals and really has my kitchen shining when shes done.
Then, Liz and her sister came by to spend some time with me before i take off to America. We all had lunch together and the girls and i went swimming and had an early supper at the pool before returning to my place. Liz is Eden Revival's receptionist and we have become good friends in these last six months.
I am having guest coming to see me here in Entebbe every day until i fly out on Friday and i am liking that very much.
let me send some pictures.

Again

Oh Yes, we had another great night at the Bethel church. I was doing some teaching on salvation and how they too can lead others in the salvation prayer. I was also teaching about alot of practical things in the body of Christ.
Than a big rain storm came, which makes so much noise on the tin roof that i need to speak real loud and they get real close. That was all good until the roof started leaking, so we moved to a dryer location in the church.
Now, i got started on the Holy Spirit again and they had many questions and after that i started laying hands on them again with prayer for the 30+ present. Tonight another four people got filled with the Holy spirit and where speaking in a differant langage(tongues). "Praise the Lord"
11 pm and it's time to say good night.

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Tuesday eve

Well, like always here in Uganda, we where an hour late in my pickup time, the person that wanted to see me didn't show anyways. Now, i was even 30 minutes late for the teaching, but what a great night that we had. I spoke on the filling of the Holy spirit with power and laid hands on them and prayed for them all. I believe that i prayed for them for 30 minutes before anything started to happen, but i don't give up until the Holy spirit shows up. Many received with power and one got saved tonight,Praise the Lord.
10:30, so it is time to say goodnight/good morning where ever you maybe.

Just another day

It is another great day while here in Uganda and I'm getting ready to transport to Kampala, where i will see some friends at Eden revival church. Then i will meet up with Love and head to Bethel church for the teaching of the bible study lesson.
It took all day yesterday, before i got my transport taken care of, i wish that i had enough money to purchase a car, but that will just have to wait.
I am providing a picture of Pastor Prossy daughter, (Deborah) whom i took shopping & we had a good time together. Deborah, is 20 but is in senior six this year and is at a boarding school like most other's that attend school. She said that they do get three meals every day, but they only receive porsah(maze porage) for every meal. She was even glad to receive what i cooked for her. I bought three new dresses for her at the Sat., market in Entebbe for only $10, for all three. Now, where can you do that in America, not even at the goodwill stores?

Bethel church

Sunday morning at Bethel church was a good morning and the Holy Spirit was present when i arrived. This church is on the same grounds as the Hope children's home and always has up to 400 present on Sunday morning. Pastor Simon and myself where ministering during the worship service and there was many deliverance's done then as well as after the message. Now, the reason that i make mention to this is because i have been here at least 8 to 10 times and have never before seen it like this before.
Pastor Simon, in picture.
Pastor Prossy, has asked me to give the Tuesday & Thursday evening Bible studies for this week, so I will be returning their around 5 pm .with my African daughter, Love. Love is a very good interpreter and they all love her very much, so i always bring her with me when i go there. The children always love her because she love's teaching then new dancing moves.

Kampala & Gganda day

Traveling to Wandegeya to get my monthly drugs to keep my blood pressure in check. Yes, pot holes, jams, dust & people every where, but it is what it is (Kampala). ATM for more money, then on to Gganda, to Hope children's home to see pastor Prossy and drop off some clothing that the Kragt's left with me before they returned home. Does anyone know what delivery cost is for clothing, i want to be fair. Hahah!
Then i am going to pickup Prossy's daughter to take her shopping for some clothes, she has been ill a lot lately and really has a need for some clothes. She has a great heart like her mom and calls me dad, so i have become dad to many here in Uganda.
Okay, i need to be on my way, See yah.

Day after

I have just had a wonderful two days with Jennifer Kragt and Ben & Christine Kragt. They stopped by to see me and rest before the long plane ride home to Michigan. That's the cold country where the warm hearts come from, of course that is where my son-in-law Mark comes from. Hi Mark, hope to be seeing you soon.
Anyways, we went to the Entebbe zoo and got a sun burn, but still we all had a good time.
We did do a lot of relaxing, and eating of course. Yes Julie, i can do a little cooking, but it was so much better with the help of others.
Oh, my friend Terah & Christine from Kampala stopped by just long enough for a short visit and a little something to eat, and on there way by 10:15. I almost always have something going on around here, which is a good thing.
Today, i have done some laundry, which should be about dry by now. It is a beautiful day today, but this is Africa!
